Praise God for your desire to serve Him in advancing His Kingdom through the ministry of Houston Perspectives, which is a year-round ministry. We have been praying and planning for future Perspectives classes in the Houston area and will announce them when they are confirmed. There are many opportunities to become involved with low-level to high-level commitments. The initial area to prepare for in planning for a class is the "big five" (prayer plan, course outline, syllabus, budget, and promotional plan). It is essential to have some organization (usually a church) committed to promoting and taking ownership of the class. There needs to be a ministry team effort and a sharing of responsibilities and duties among the Program Coordinator, Perspectives alum, and host personnel. That's where you (almost Perspectives alum) come in! Remember: Perspectives alum can attend all future Perspectives classes for FREE across the nation.

Here are several areas of ministry for you to consider:

Coordinate a Perspectives class ... by attending a Coordinator Workshop
Alum Prayer/Fellowship Groups ... meet monthly for prayer and fellowship.
Book Table ... ordering, sorting, and cataloging books.
Display booth assistant ... going to different mission events to share about Perspectives.
Financial Secretary ... keeping the books on receipts and disbursements.
Global mission opportunities ... helping to connect alum with global opportunities.

Short-term and Long-term global
opportunities with mission agencies.
Grade Quizzes ... Credit or Certificate alum.
Local mission opportunities ... helping to connect alum with local opportunities.
Antioch Institute ... being involved with the Global Mission Center.
English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.

Mission Fest
Once a month commitments ... commit to "helping out" at a class once a month.
Promotion/Publicity ... in Houston area or your church.

In Christian bookstores.                         On the radio.
In Newspaper ads.                                 On the TV.
In Universities.                                      Other.

Refreshments ... coordinating refreshments.
Registration assistants ... helping with the first three classes of the semester.
Seminars/Conferences ... helping with extra speaker engagements.
Speaker logistics ... housing and transportation arrangements.
Update alum roster ... for your church & other.
