INTEGRATIVE PROJECT DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS
FOR CREDIT AND CERTIFICATE STUDENTS

PERSPECTIVES ON THE WORLD CHRISTIAN MOVEMENT

Objective:
The main objective of the project proposal paper is to help the student integrate the course contents into his/her life-style (what you learn in class). You'll take the divergent themes of the course, consider their various implications, and integrate them into an evangelization scenario for a particular unreached people. Use the Integrative Project guidelines below (from the US Center PSPs Office) as a helpful guide rather than a rigid structure. In agreement with the overall objectives of the course the project is to help Christians grow in their commitment to Christ, identify their role in world evangelism and propose a viable strategy in reaching and ministering to a less evangelized people group.

Description:
The project paper is required only from the credit and certificate students. For the purpose of researching an unreached people group the students can form a team of 2 - 4 classmates or work independently. Each student should have his own individual paper, which could be written co-operatively. A less evangelized group usually is found outside the US but does not necessarily have to be those outside the US since there could be such people groups within North America. The Perspective's office at the USCWM is somewhat flexible in the choice of the topic. We like to encourage students to choose either an ongoing work or a project that the student has special interest in, which is related to missions.  It is important however, that the professor of record is in agreement with the topic and that the student has his permission on his topic ahead of time, if his project is somewhat different from the ones suggested.  Dr. Richard Gunasekera, professor of record will be lecturing at Houston's Perspectives in March.  He will also be available at the Houston PSPs office for advice by appointment. We can set up a short time for credit students to interact with him for a Q & A session on this subject, and to get his permission on types of topics that are somewhat different than those suggested here. The outline of the project is due by the 6th week

  • The project proposal paper should be written in the form of a research application paper including a complete Bibliography.  We will have past copies of papers available for students (ask your coordinator) to study and use as a guide for their own. Graduate students are required to do some extra readings and show a higher level of research
